Goodbye, Butterfly!

What a thrill to come in this morning and find three butterflies! Knowing that one had been in the cage since Shabbat, we called Magic Wings this morning on speakerphone and asked if it was safe to release our first monarch in the rain. Following their advice, we sent our first butterfly off to Mexico today, with some help from our music teacher, Morah Tzipporah. We also created some faux nectar for the remaining butterflies with sugar, water, and cotton balls. We'll release those on the farm tomorrow.

We are slowly integrating mindfulness and gratitude into our daily routines, pausing before we eat to imagine our favorite, most delicious foods and saying the Motzi, reciting another song of thanks at the end of lunch, and learning the prayer Modeh Ani. We're currently working on this version.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow and telling you more about the Gan program.
